StrataCare believes in fundamental values that support our company's Mission and Vision. One of these values is a "Commitment to our Clients, Employees and Community". Accordingly, StrataCare and our employees contribute to numerous charities and participate in programs that enhance both the lives of those we serve in the community and our employees.
The following are a few of the charities, organizations or programs that employees of StrataCare are involved in.
American Red Cross

StrataCare employees contributed to recovery efforts for victims of the Katrina hurricane disaster.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International
More than one million Americans have type 1 diabetes, a disease most often diagnosed in childhood that strikes suddenly, lasts a lifetime, and carries the constant threat of deadly complications, including heart disease, stroke, blindness, kidney failure, and amputation. JDRF's mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Thanks to dramatic research progress, a cure is now within our reach.
The Walk draws people together in a healthy activity for a worthy cause, raising money to help find a cure for diabetes. It's fun for families and builds camaraderie among company employees. Above all, it's an event you will feel good about being a part of.
StrataCare employees have contributed both through monetary donations and by banding together and joining a team to support the JDRF walk. The 3.1 mile Walk to Cure Diabetes South County/Irvine is on October 23rd at 9am.
World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) has been working to support relief and reconstruction efforts being carried out in Southeast Asia due to the devastation caused by the tsunami that hit on December 26, 2004. Through its operations centers in New Delhi and Geneva, WHO has been working around the clock to facilitate information gathering and the coordination of relief and recovery efforts related to health. WHO has worked together with national and local authorities, other international organizations and NGOs to get medical and logistic staff and supplies to areas where they were most urgently needed.
StrataCare employees have opened up their hearts to the victims of this disaster. A fundraiser was held to collect donations for WHO to aid in their tsunami relief efforts. As a token of our gratitude to WHO, the generous employees of StrataCare raised a total of $5,000 to contribute to their rebuilding of communities and lives.
St. Edna Subacute & Rehabilitation Center
Commitment to charities has been repeatedly exemplified through our
annual contribution to the St. Edna Subacute & Rehabilitation Center in
Santa Ana, California. This began as a participation in the "Hugs for
the Holiday" program. This event allows our employees to "Adopt an Elder"
and provide them with a gift of their choice at
Christmas time. The gifts are then delivered to the adopted elders by
our staff.
For the past six years StrataCare employees adopted residents and provided a festive Holiday Luncheon to present the gifts. This gift giving is co-supported by the Santa Ana Police Department. Without the dedication put forth by our employees, St. Edna's would have been without means to supply a holiday party and gifts. The residents are thrilled to receive new clothing, music, and games. StrataCare helps make Holiday wishes come true.
StrataCare is proud to be an ongoing sponsor of the St. Edna Subacute
and Rehabilitation Center.
