Realizing the changing needs in the workers' compensation marketplace and building on the success of CareSolutions, their existing mail-in bill review company, Scott Green and Ron Taylor launched StrataCare in 1998. That year StrataCare embarked on its mission to develop a true Windows and fully Internet-based
workers' compensation cost containment software solution.
The StrataCare executive management team brings together more than sixty years of combined experience in the workers' compensation bill review industry. The company's early management team included Scott Green, President; Ron Taylor, Chief Information Officer; and Sheila Garcia, Operations Manager.
Scott Green was the former President of Reviewco and has a background in sales, marketing, and computer leasing. Ron Taylor was an original founder of Reviewco and its Chief Information Officer. Prior to Reviewco, Ron Taylor is credited with developing the first bill review computer system for Medata in the late 1970's as well as writing Beech Street's computer programs in the early 1980's. Sheila Garcia managed Reviewco's national software leasing division and was responsible for implementing and developing its national training team.
Together this team along with senior managers added over the last few years has grown StrataCare into one of the most respected companies in the workers' compensation bill review industry. Their clients include Sedgwick CMS, Accident Fund of America, Safeway, Ryder Services, Greater New York Insurance (GNY), Republic Indemnity Insurance, Berkshire Hathaway Insurance, Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. (CCMSI), Sempra Energy and a large number of cities and school districts such as Anaheim, Huntington Beach, County of Santa Barbara and Contra Costa County Schools Insurance Group.
The organization's strategy is focused on addressing the marketplace's need for innovative software application options including onsite installation, ASP deployment, and online access via the Internet. The strategy is to provide an easy to use, flexible and customizable product where clients can be self-dependent as well as highly productive. Another key strategy is to develop applications that allow the client to be on the forefront of Internet opportunity today and into the future.
