Custom Rules for
Workers' Compensation Bill Routing
Irvine, Calif. - November 14, 2006 - StrataCare, Inc., the premiere national bill review software solutions and service company, and SmartComp, LLC, the nation's leading physical medicine network, announced today that they have released a new software tool, PathWays™, to assist clients with the challenging task of Exception Management.
PathWays was designed as a supplement to StrataCare's existing rules engine software with the goal of providing clients with as much customization as possible. Clients will now be able to create their own compound rules for routing held bills (exceptions) based on criteria specific to their business, including those based on cpt code, geographic region and any reduction type. Rules can also be copied, saved and prioritized by the user as well as tested on actual bills before going live with the new bill rule. Rule writing is easy to use, with a comprehensive directory for coding language reference and an extensive library of sample rules made available. No programming skills are necessary.
