StrataCare's CareControl
® product is the Internet-based software application that links a nurse or claims examiner to the
bill review software for real-time utilization and treatment control. CareControl
® is used to help control utilization, enforce specifically negotiated discounts, and provide real time noncompliance notification and bill payment information back to a nurse or claims examiner. The services included are:
- Treatment Plan allows the nurse to input an agreed upon treatment plan directly into the bill review software. When the medical bills are received weeks later, the bill review software accurately monitors compliance and/or enforces the agreed upon treatment.
- Noncompliance Notification automatically sends E-mail to predetermined recipients when provider or facility are noncompliant and initiates user defined course of action.
- Threshold Monitoring Notification automatically sends E-mail to predetermined recipients when preset maximum dollars are reached for Total Claim and by service category.
- Aging Notification automatically sends E-mail to predetermined recipients upon preset time metrics.
- Notes allow nurses to keep online notes with automated notification capability.
- PPO Look Up provides comprehensive reference source of PPO providers for directing care.
The advantage of the CareControl
® software is the fully automated user defined notification and action to be taken and when selected, the linking of prospective utilization and treatment control activity performed by a nurse with the fully automatic retrospective re-pricing work done by the StrataWare
bill review software.
