StrataWare eReview™ is StrataCare's innovative solution for delivering a paperless electronic bill review environment. It is a combination of the most advanced paper conversion technology and workflow with StrataWare's dynamic bill review system.
In the past the goal of a paperless electronic bill review system was hampered by the inability to scan and apply accurate OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to the myriad of Workers' Compensation bill types. StrataCare and their Best of Breed Document Management partners have solved this dilemma through a combination of custom OCR software and workflow processes that delivers an accurate data file at a remarkably low cost.
StrataWare eReview can receive the electronic data file via the Internet and automatically processes the bill through its eReview re-pricing engine, generating an EOR and payment EDI back to the Client's Claim System. Bills can be processed directly through the repricing engine or diverted for special handling via a client configurable Decision Engine.
The system also provides an Internet accessed Web browser tool for viewing stored images such as surgery reports and other supporting documents when the bill review process requires it. StrataWare eReview can receive bills via a paper conversion model or from clearinghouses processing electronic bills direct from providers.
